Army of Oblivion is what happens when metalcore stops being music and starts becoming a planetary extinction doctrine. Crushing riffs, subsonic pressure, weaponized dubstep, apocalyptic machinery, and enough sonic mass to make geology reconsider its career choices all answer to Ashvicar, Lord High Commander of Doom. This is not a band politely asking for your attention. This is a military faith arriving through the speakers to consecrate the ruins, flatten the horizon, and leave absolutely nothing behind but ringing ears and theological questions. Subtlety was reviewed, rejected, and fed to the war machine. Compared to Army of Oblivion, sliced bread was a modest local success.
